All quiet at present. Been a relatively nice day (according to others; I've no idea).

My porch thermometer claims it's up to 73deg F in the shade.

I'm delighted.

In spite of the massive Solar Spill we've been experiencing hereabouts.   It's expected to abate no later than 8pm, so no worries.

I heard a noise that I feared was sleet this morning, but it was just a passing shower. We still have at least 6 inches of snow on the ground but it is slowly melting. Some talk of another blizzard next week. I hope it's just rumors.

I was outside today. Increasingly unusual for me. It was misty rain in the air. Damp. Mild.

Alas, the Solar Spill we had experienced the other day, has abated.

Cloudy today, all day, but a warminsh 67, and a nice rise in humidity too.  (it's been really dry this winter--dangerously so)

Take our slush, please.

Mild with melting snow and damming gutters. Foreboding sky. A storm approaching?

The high today was at 7am, 68 degrees.  It dropped to a low of 42 by noon, and is back up to 52-- the expected high.

They missed predicting another Solar Spill, though-- claimed we could expect some serious cloud-pollution.

Woo, we had some thunder a little while ago, and a period of pouring rain. Now it's getting foggy.

That sounds incredibly metaphoric.

OMG, it's SNOWING again!

It's falling silently and peacefully in huge white clusters that make one feel as if one is ascending slowly to the sky as one watches. Poor late February snow. It is not nearly as sung to and loved as December snow, but it's just as beautiful.

We have yet another polar vortex bending down upon us, and maybe this is Father Sky's way of pulling a blanket over us to insulate us against the cold.

So... maybe it's not so bad after all.

According to radio weather news it dips down to slight freezing during the night (our thermometer disputes that) but during the day it goes now up to +14°C and it is mostly sunny.

At 6 am the schools called to say they were opening two hours late. I looked outside, but there was no snow on the ground, only a mist in the air.

At 6:30 I got up, and there was a coating of snow on the ground.

A little after 8 the schools called to say they would be closed today due to road conditions.

By 10:30 am it had melted here. However, we live in a large county, so if the southern part got snowed in, we would be off school as well. Th'Opsalette was mighty pleased.

VERY cold tonight, as the polar vortex swipes it's giant polar bear mitt at us yet again.

Wet. Low, grey clouds that drop wet on us, with occasional bursts of cloudless sky that let all the heat out, before the wet starts again. If you stick a garden fork in the lawn to help it drain, you stand a pretty good chance of spearing a fish.

Today had a brief respite from the cloud spill, and the sun peaked through.  40ish.

The weatherman said that by the weekend, we could expect sleet or other nasty weather.

*sigh*
