It's currently 27 degrees (F), which is a darn sight warmer than the past few days.  I'm curiously comforted.

Hopefully, the clouds will blow off, and we'll see some sunshine tomorrow.

Snow is predicted for today, but so far we have zilch (which is okay by me). Mr. Ops says that people in town were talking about a blizzard, but the last forecast mentioned only an inch or so. The townsfolk here love to moan about the weather.

My Crone Nose smells only cold and wet, but not necessarily snow (and it's fairly accurate, if a bit blocked up this morning).

Looks like rain is limited to the night in our area currently

Cold and sunny, but not as cold as I thought it might be.

Double posting again, again!  ::)

Every few years we have a significant snowstorm, and it usually near Valentine's Day (February 14). Mr. Ops and I like to call it The Saint Valentine's Day Massacre (pronounced "massacree").

Looks like it may well be a massacree year this year. 8-12 inches has been predicted, starting tonight.

A few drops of rain yesterday. Otherwise it stays sunny and windy and a wee bit too warm for the season.

UK is almost underneath the sea now. And still more and more rain and high winds, and high tides. All that trouble reclaiminng land from the ocean, what a waste of time.

Bluenose

We've had a torrid time this summer, I think we've broken the record for days over 40 deg C.  Anyway, it's a bit cooler now, but we have been blanketed in smoke for the last few days - more again today - from a number of fires burning around the state. Château Blue is under no threat, the closest fire to here was a small grass fire about 6 Km away a week ago or so.  However there are a couple of fires still burning on the outer northern and western edge of Melbourne and last weekend about 20 homes were lost in several fires around the state including 2 in semi suburban Warrandyte, which is best described as a "bush" suburb or town and is a beautiful place on the Yarra River.  Another nearby fire threatened the town if it had gotten away from the fire fighters and would potentially have devastated Warrandyte, but fortunately it was kept contained.  This is rated the worst fire season since Black Saturday five years ago - the anniversary was just a few days ago.  What we really need is aome decent rain, but there's none on the horizon according to the weather bureau.

I'd love to send you some of my rain, Blue, but we are rather short of it hereabouts.

By this time, we typically have had several snow/ice/sleets, which slowly melt into the ground, replenishing the ground water.

Alas, the few we've had have been scant-- so I've none to spare for your neck of the globe.

Perhaps you can persuade Griffin to send you some?
