Now I don't want rain - we're going out with a lot of participants for a picnic and treasure-hunt on Castle Green.
But, it looks like we're going to get showered on.

You think that's bad? Mr. Ops has a company picnic we're supposed to go to tomorrow and if that isn't bad enough, it's predicted to feel like 110 F here with the humidity index. Yeauuugh!

We had a tropical storm pass by us today, nothing to write home about, a bit of rain, a bit of wind, far less than I expected. Hopefully it will be as mild when it reaches Louisiana, although it will likely spread part of the spilled oil all around.

It wasn't too hot and sticky for ECHO's outdoor party yesterday (20th anniversary celebrations), but we got three showers, one quite heavy.

30+ C with very high humidity (for Alberta) yesterday.  Lots 'o bugs, too.   I think I have at least 200 mosquito bites per leg from fishing on Sunday - it looks like I have chicken pox or something.

Much nicer today. Highs in the 80 F's and low humidity. I've got the windows open.

It's been dry and hot for over a month but when the rain came it came with a vengeance.
Within less than a week we have locally had more than 130mm!
Yes, there have been flooding, roads closed due to being either submerged or undermined by water and all sorts of other fun.

We are having some nice late summer weather over here. The days are hot and sunny, and the nights are full of the accumulated heat of the summer, but the air is getting perceptibly crisper and the nights have also grown darker. I really like these late summer weeks, so full and ripe but also with the bittersweet realisation that soon, autumn will start to set in.

Significant rain in the last few days but today it is also announced that it will be 30°C. That combination could prove lethal.

It's been rainy, rainy, rainy here, but in a nice way. Today is a good, rainy Sunday. Nice and peaceful, good for reading. The rain has cooled things down a bit, at well.
