Weather unpredictable.
Currently happy evening sun but there are dark clouds on at least one horizon.

We have more traditional early autumn weather now, with some very nice sunny days, and nights getting more and more chilly and damp. We haven't quite reached leaf fall season with the seasonal low adhesion problems on the railways yet, but it will probably start in earnest in a few weeks or so.

First snowfall of the year scheduled for this evening (more like sleet, probably, it's not supposed to get below freezing).

Just as well I left my snow tires on year-round.

It's gotten cooler and the leaves are hitting their peak autumn color here right now. The winds are picking up though, so they might not hang on much longer.

Continuous snow for the last few days here, temperature is -16C this morning (wind chill at -23C) and expected to drop further by tomorrow.

I'm glad I brought my winter Nomex getup - keeps you from burning alive and freezing to death at the same time.
