Nice!

There are a bunch of people here that would probably have been fried way back when.

Or maybe we're fried now?

Well, cynical me thinks that the English have ceased to be the masters of their language long ago.
It's even in My Fair Lady (her English is too good, she can't be English ) ;)
I also know some non-Germans that are better in our language than what I have to see running around the streets these days on a regular base. The useless uncultured youth of yesterday maybe spoke differently out of rebellion, the youth of today seems to never have learned it properly in the first place in some (too many) places.
And one can spot this even at the university in 'hard' sciences (up to a level that there are discussions to give worse marks, if the spelling errors go above a certain limit).
Noticed that myself. OUt of a group of friends I had in high school (there were five of us), only two of us were native speakers. The others learned Farsi, Hmong, and Chinese first and *then* English. We all speak at the same level of fluency, which seemed to be much higher than a lot of our class mates. I think it's got to do with having college educated parents.
Anyway.

No no no no!  If she weighs the same as a duck, then she's made of wood, and therefore a witch!

Of course, we could try to build a bridge out of her...

Pray tell, what else floats in water, aside from witches?

A duck!

....out for a duck....but that's zero.... that is, nothing else floats !

And now, we should debate whether it is floats in water, or floats on water ;D

Earthling

Or perhaps floats toward water.

I'm gushingly impressed by Chatty's actions. I haven't snooped around enough to know if I'm on the same continent as her, but I'm fairly sure we're on the same planet, and her presence makes it feel a little nicer somehow. I think I'm going to like it here at least as much as over at venganza.

Sibling Chatty is definitely one formidable lady...

BTW, I certainly hope you do enjoy it here Earthling, this is a gentle corner of the interwebbs.
