Yup, that's proper prairie cold, same as up here. Stay warm!  Looks like next week should be better.
WWDDD?

Getting warmer here (above 70F/20C) but tomorrow back to our general programming with subzero C in the late night/early morning.

It's -14°C at the moment, this morning it was just -11°C but windy so I nearly froze my butt of at work (the uniform ain't made for Swedish winter conditions >:( )
I don't look forward much to Monday when they have promised around -20°C... Well if it wasn't for the fact that I had to stand on that wind-tunnel of a platform for 4 hours in a uniform that %&#¤!!! cold I wouldn't mind, I know how to dress for cold conditions left to my own devices...   ::)

Order a larger size uniform so you can increase the layers underneath. I swear by wearing three lots of trousers.

mmmm likewise boots - I buy a size larger so I can put fat woolly soles inside.

No they just make my footprints larger which means they would be looking for the wrong person in the murder mystery. ;D

My uniform isn't too tight and I wear 2 layers of special underwear under it... The thing is around here when you have a work that requires a uniform that uniform is supposed to cover your clothing needs at work... I don't know how much money L and I have spent to keep me warm this winter! The Lining in the jacket is worthless, so is the fabric in the trousers, it blows right trough them and I've worn-out two pairs in two and a half month!

My feet are warm and cosy 'cause I've chosen my boots my self. ;D

16 extra inches of snow announced for the weekend. I will believe it when I see it.
But I guess that it is true because it will cause even more havoc as far as the Deutsche Bahn is concerned and that would be espcially 'fitting' since my vacation ends on Monday and I have to travel the usual 2 hours by train to work.

The BBC are reporting on it.  Who said the English have no sense of schadenfreude?

I heartily recommend wool pants as an under layer - I have a rather tight pair that fits under my jeans for work.  They are readily available for hunters around here, although I seem to recall that mine might have been Russian army surplus (and were certainly larger, but have shrunk).

If I'd believe the papers instead of my lying eyes then there'd be a raging blizzard outside.
Pure alibi snowing and the wind seems not to be very strong either.

The Beeb are saying a foot of snow (30cm) in Berlin now.  But they're probably quoting the German papers ;) .

Was 3 degrees with strong wind today here, so started melting, but back to cold now.

Came late to work by about half an hour. Luckily we have flextime. In parts of North Eastern Germany transport (both public and private) has completely broken down and schools are closed today.
I read there is snow in Florida too.

GLOBAL WARMING IS TEH LIEZ!!!

Seriously, this is NOT the winter we needed after Climategate.  ;)

Really warm today - currently -4c and might hit zero.  Tomorrow's forecast calls for 90% chance of getting 5-10 cm of ice pellets. :P
