I don't know quite why I bother to comment on the weather as the only real impact on me is whether to turn my heating on.

I think it's interesting to know what the weather is like in different parts of the world. Please keep on commenting.

Finally today, after weeks of dry weather, we are having a wonderful downpour. It looks and sounds beautiful and is a big relief for us here.

Nightly rains over the weekend-- very light though.

Alas, it has made the grass grow enough, that I must consider mowing once again, before fall.

Warmer this week is expected, though.   But I cranked up the furnace just in case it needed repair-- it didn't (turn back down).   Always good to check these before it gets **really** cold.

Much cooler today, clear and breezy. More like autumn.

Looks like we skipped winter and spring has arrived. 17°C despite fully clouded sky.
Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

The Great Blizzard of '13 is finally past.   It sucked.

Okay, now the weather is more apt for the season. Rain and a drop in temperature.

I hope you have no more blizzards this year, Pieces.

Hurricane Karen has finally caught up to us. It is raining and is expected to rain here for the next few days.

How do you know about the Hurricane?  I thought with the government shut-down, that even the satellites were on furlough.... right?

Here?  We finally hit the Fall Stride:  lovely-lovely cool nights, with quite comfortably warm days, but nothing extreme.  If I could find a climate like this year round, I could easily live there forever.

There shall be blizzards and rumors of blizzards -- apparently the same thing is headed towards us again, not this coming weekend but the next one out. On the bright side, no big trees left to take down power again, and with so many cattle dead, fewer stock animals for ranchers to worry about...

* blesses the Teabertarians for being correct that there is no global climate change *

* ^ not really *

After a rainy yesterday and a cloudy morning the afternoon looks sunny

Still rainy rainy rainy here. We're making the most of it with comforting teas and soups.

Raining. Quite cold. Not helped by not realising heating turned off.

Got it all sorted, I hope?

Freezing to death, or just as bad, freezing-to-catch-the-flu is not much fun.

Yes, sorted. The problem was I forgot the electrician switched the power off. The battery back up should have prevented the issue but it didn't and the thing de-programmed itself. I imagine the battery is dead. Can't be bothered to check but may have to if the energy companies give us black outs, which they are threatening if they can't apply arbitrary and massive price hikes **** they should never have privatised *** Power should be free at the point of service like the NHS **** then we wouldn't get the elderly freezing to death as we do **** Took me a while to work out how to fix the timer and the mode. Peering into cupboards with a torch is a pig.
