I've found it somewhat illuminating having a dog around the house.  For a while this morning, she seemed on edge around me, and would run away if I approached.

I think my wife may be right: I am grumpy in the morning.

Going to be puppy-sitting for my brother. (Looking after his puppy, I mean, not looking after him...)

Mycroft is a Basset Hound. Always looks like he's miserable, tail wags permenantly,tends to step on his own ears. I am really looking forward to this, he is one cool pup. Definite character, convinced everybody on the planet really exists to play with him.
