Virginia Christianson, 14- location: deep south. Update: Virginia's dowry has been slashed by 50% in light of her more recent demonic possession last Thursday. Now we are only asking for enough to bribe our local congressman into pardoning her for putting rabid vermin into her schoolmates' lockers, plus a small weekly stipend to help us recover from public shame.

I think the daughters-for-sale is a hoax. No normal person would use price tags of the ...995 type (while the setting of a fixed dowry may be unconventional in our culture it is not completely unknown)

Kinda reminds me of this.

That is the most depressing site I've ever seen even if it is a hoax (somehow I find it believable).

First I feared it was real.

But then I've read the Testimonials and I think, if nothing else, this proves that it's a gag.


I mean - who writes in the testimonials to be happy to sell his/herr daughter and be able to buy a few acres of farm/new car/jacoozi/pool/ move out of the trailer park...


Maybe if anyone would dare to try to propose? Maybe that would prove, if  it's a gag or not... Anyone around here feels like getting married?
