Basic principle: create the horizontal stripes first. Since the pattern is repetitive a lot of copy paste can be done. Then copy the whole pattern, turn the copy 90° (for twill also swap left/right) and put it on top of the original in transparent mode in the right position. Finish by cutting the edges. Does of course not work that easily if warp and weft sett are different.
