ISIHAC is scheduled to restart in the autumn, although that has little to do with music.

Last Night of The Proms

Yet another example of cost-cutting, the BBC recycle this EVERY year..... it only needs slight changes to the voice over ;)  Scandalous.

In fact, I am going to take a leaf out of their book and recycle this post.  ;D

More of these Americacentric Discovery Channel documentaries (at least not from the Discovery Institute  ;)).
But at least they were cheap.
Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

Recording a BBC4 program about Humph.

It was a good documentary. They even showed the chair where Samantha would have been sitting had she not been off-stage enjoying an ice cream (or "licking the nuts off a Neapolitan" as they put it).

America's Test Kitchen.

They are working on a recipe to cook chicken breasts using a skillet for browning, a microwave (later) to ensure complete cooking and all in 30 minutes or so (as opposed to 90 minutes for traditional roast chicken)

Looks fabulous.
Sometimes, the real journey can only be taken by making a mistake.

I saw the very last episode recorded with HL - presumably earlier this summer from the material. It made me feel old. Very old. Where did our youth go? Samantha hadn't aged though.

??? It's easy enough to cook chicken breasts in under 30 minutes, so why fuss with a microwave (toughens things up)?  IMHO, the best way to go for that roast chicken taste would be to use a cast-iron pan and skin-on boneless chicken breast (even better if the drumettes are still attached).  Pre-heat the oven.  Bring the cast-iron with a goodly coating of oil up to searing temperature, and pan-sear the breast skin side down until it starts to brown.  Flip over and leave on heat for a minute or two to sear the other side, then pop in the oven (one can also finish it on the stove by adding some liquid and covering it with a lid).  I like to drizzle this one with a balsamic vinaigre reduction, and pre-marinading with fresh rosemary and garlic certainly doesn't hurt.
