I used to "help" Mum bake any cakes. (translation: stand around getting in the way until I got to lick the spoon...)

After a while, when she realised I could follow a recipe, and could be trusted not to set alight to the kitchen, she left me to it.

Still can't bake worth a $%^&, though.
