Toadfish Monastery

The storms did not hit us too hard last night, but there was a lot of water. I'm glad we're not in a low-lying area, as many of them flooded.

Today the sky is clear, the temps are diving, and the wind is blowing.

Judging from all the twigs and branches laying around the wind must have been quite strong indeed.

Snowflakes falling softly all day yesterday. It didn't appear to be accumulating when I looked out a window, but this morning there was a smallish drift my car had to kind of leap over in the middle of the driveway...

It snows in the evening and completely thaws in the morning. Repeat, repeat, repeat

They're calling for ice pellets and snow tonight. Or rain. Must be February!

Damn cold with a stiff north wind.

Cold? What cold? 

Rather temperate today; I didn't take a coat (although it was chilly on the way home).

Surprisingly the snow did not disappear overnight. It's still snowing, although T is clearly above zero.

We had a few inches of snow last night, enough to close school. Opsalette is delighted!

It's been sunny and feeling like spring here the last few days.  I don't trust it to be the real thing yet, and am hoping we don't have a total melt-out before the next cold snap.  I want some of my winter veggies to stay under their snow blanket for now.

Cool and rainy today.

Snow drifted over neighbor's car yesterday, so I allowed extra time to shove l this morning. But! Winds came and blew the snow away from my walk & drive in the night!  Yays.

Residual snow, residual cold, bright sun today.

The weatherperson says that there's 100% chance of something precipitating here today. Who knows what?

We've had snow, slush and rain today.  The flooded fields are getting worse and worse.  Various roads round here look likely to be cut again shortly.
