Still here. I just heard that we might get snow tomorrow morning. Sandy is pulling in cold air. I am now setting up the propane fireplace in case we lose power. That'll keep us warm.

It could as well be the other way around. The less Mitt is seen, the lower the chance that another gaffe will drive away potenial voters.
Also the election will likely hinge on turnout. Any major disturbance will hit the Democrats harder than the GOP.

Now the rain has reached us too. Cool/Cold and wet.

We lost power for seven hours last night, but it's back on for now, thankfully. This morning it is colder, but the wind is not as wild as yesterday, and the rain is light. Frankenstorm may have moved to the north of us, I hope.

Good to hear you have power, and I assume you manage to keep the water out. Sounds like a good score.

I wondered what happened to the storm. They just focus on yesterday, but don't say anything about where it has got to today.

Papers over here reports over 40 people dead due to the storm.

Frankenstorm hit some areas very hard. We were lucky, here, just some downed trees. Our fave beach spot, Chincoteague Island was under water I hear, and New York City got very badly slammed. Lots of damage up there. Apparently there were fires in one area and the firefighters couldn't get to them because of the high winds and rain, so they just burned to the ground. Pretty awful.

This morning the sun finally peeked out for the first time in days. Last week it still felt like late summer, but now with the cold and the leaves blown off the trees, it is definitely the dawn of November.
