Mrs Blue & I have been freezing our "little" butts off in Canberra, the nation's capital.  Came up here for the opening of Grandpa Blue's centenery exhibition (he's a landscape artist).  Mrs Blue and I had made a memory quilt for his 100th birthday a couple of weeks ago and we were asked to allow it to be hung at the entrance to the gallery.  We were very gratified when we saw clumps of people gathered around it pointing out various photos and the decorated blocks we had sent out to people all over country and even as far away as Ireland.  The opening was attended by several hundred people and was a great success.  For me it was a chance to catch up with family and friends I have not seen, in some cases, for decades.

Anyway, I'm sitting in my little camper van at 5:30 am because I can't sleep for some reason - very un-Bluenose of me, I can assure you - writing this in the dark on my cell phone.  We're packing up as doon as it gets light and heading down to the South Coast of New South Wales to catch up with some more family for a few days.  I'll be in touch.

Unpredictable weather. The weather report does not much to help there, esp. in choice of jacket

20 deg C, sunny, lovely view of the mountains, fresh fish, cips & scallops for lunch.  Planning fresh local oysters and prawns for dinner.  Life doesn't get much better than this!
