Toadfish Monastery

Last weekend we had +19°C. Now about half of that and rain. That's slightly more normal for the season.

-20°C, feels like -32°C with the wind chill.  Swirling snow, although I'm not sure if it's falling or just floating - probably steam from the buildings precipitating out.

Yeah, so I shovelled out the flippin driveway today.     


Bah, humbug!

Weather approaches 'normal', i.e. cold, gray, wet and windy. Sleet announced for later in the week.

A large mass of cold air has entered the baltic sea region and is now moving westward, into eastern and southern Sweden. With it, it brings gale-force winds and heavy snowfall -up to 30 cm predicted in some places! 

Brrr....

-30°C outright this morning (before the wind chill).  Glad to be in the office and that it's supposed to warm up a bit towards the end of the week, when I will be outdoors again.

What is this snow you all speak of? 80F/27C and I'm in the northern hemisphere!

We are also due for a long spell of freezing weather, stating tonight.  So they say.  I blame these weather harmonisation rules from Brussels.

Maybe it's just the cold facts on their way to and from Ireland
