I'm reading Othello, War and Peace, The Elements of Style, and The New Yorker Book of Poems.

Good stuff.  ;D

When I was a kid, and I forgot what I was going to say I would say, "I missed it!".  :)

I've been awfully political latley, for I just made my dramatic return to a debate forum that I used to frequent. Someone on that forum posted a Keith Olbermann clip, I'll see if I can hunt it down.

It has become calm, but will it last?

...and you would be correct. While we're trying to set up the private sanctuary (nothing ulterior, just a peaceful inner chamber for those who take the formal vow) we have limited access to that area. Anyone interested in taking or re-instating their Toadfish Agreement vow will have the chance to do so starting in November. But first we have to get it in gear. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No problem, Drake: I can bear the wait.

Politics / Re: Campaign Ads

Well, we haven't any Republicans in Marin (we ran them all out  :D), and they are few and far between in Hawaii. However, we do have moderates. The senate primary race in Hawaii (Akaka vs. Case) was pretty civil, and not that exciting. I've seen a few smear campaigns flying around in California primarys, but it was all pretty mundane. This is good, I suppose.

The Phantom of the Opera--Andrew Lloyd Webber.

In sleep he sang to me
In dreams he came
That voice which calls to me
And speaks my name
And do I dream again
For now I find
The Phantom of the Opera
Is here inside my mind

Sing once again with me
Our strange duet
My power over you
Grows stronger yet
And though you turn from me
To Glance behind
The Phantom of the Opera
Is there, inside your mind

Those who have seen your face
Draw back in fear
I am the mask you wear
It's me they hear
My/Your power and my/your voice
In one combined
The Phantom of the Opera
Is there inside my/your mind

In all your fantasies
You always knew
That man and mystery
Are both in you
And in this Labyrinth
Where night is blind
The Phantom of the Opera is there
Inside your/my mind.

He's there
The Phantom of the Opera
Beware
The Phantom of the Opera

Sing my Angel of Music
Sing for me!!!

I got this avatar a while ago, and I think I'll stick with it. It sort of speaks for itself.
