That glas actually flows (albeit very slowly) seems to be a myth. What I expect is that glas not properly stored will go blind over time. Especially when in contact with fluids of a pH>7 (even mildly so).

Wouldn't it be safest to broadcast the data into space? In most directions it will take millions of years before they interfere with something that could change the content while any storage on Earth is likely to be compromised sooner or later. And if there are aliens out there they might have use for them or a way to preserve them.
Unfortunately most aliens will stop listening the moment they get our 'popular' radio and TV broadcasts and come to the conclusion that they do not want to have anything to do with us.

Actually, burying the data on a geologically inert place (like the moon) should keep the data for millions of years as long as it is deep enough to avoid the risk of a direct meteoroid hit.

It'll get too hot in these parts long before the sun blows itself up to swallow everything inside the Mars orbit. And there are still these plans to station nukes on the moon (and/or nuclear waste). Better use a trans-neptunian object as storage place (also less likely to get hit by some flying rock or snowball).
Still leaves open the question of storage material (I propose engraved gems).
