Yes, please.

Lots of it. I have over a third of an acre that you could stack about 5 or 6 feet deep...then I open all the windows and doors on that side of the house and set up fans to draw in the cool air!!

More about Canada
sigh--- heard on Talk of the Nation on the way into work about the pine beetles killing trees up there because (despite the constant snow and current temp around 9C) global warming is making them poliferate and vast tracts of trees are going down-- and when trees go down they add more CO2 to the air, so now the CO2 savings plan in Canada is in danger because the amount of trees that will fall by 2020 will equal or exceed the amount of CO2 not released otherwise under the plan.

I personally think this old planet has a few tricks left in her and will survive even we Homo sapiens! She has survived planet killer comets (and bugger that as it killed the dinos allowing the tiny mammals to creep out and begin to grow into even worse planet killers) ahem, sorry. I think that no matter what we do we will wind up making ourselves extinct (or at least killing enough of us off that we have minimal or no impact again like before we grew to be over 6 billion organisms). I used to be truly afraid that someone would really smeg up with nuclear weapons-- but now I am convinced it will be plastic bottles and car exhaust that will do us in(or at least enough of us that our impact is minimalized-restoring balance- and allowing healing).
Then the cockroaches will take over-- as evidenced by the one currently at 1600 Pensylvania avenue.

Chatty -- I know what you mean, we are going to have to crank the A/C early again this year. Yesterday was almost but not quite to the wet stage(my storage room in particular is a concrete slab on the ground and you know what that means-- it gets swampy-at least the house sits up a bit). I think we will have 'wet muslin will someone kill me please- can I lay in the tub while at work' before the middle of May. I'll take any snow that Canada wants to ship down here.

Good, there's more falling right now, and more forecast for tomorrow. ::)

Spencer says PLEASE...

Until Mommy is up to a 3 hour dog shavin' party, his way of keeping cool is the tile floor in the bathroom. OK, and the Mom puts down a wet towel he can roll on and THEN lay on the tile. (Towel re-dampened 5 or 6 times a day.)

He bit at the few snowflakes we had that one day--but he's not fond of hail.

Hey I'll trade you a thunderstorm for a couple a feet ;)

Is this abnormal--- this much snow in May?

Aggie

Not really.  The week of snow we had at the end of April was abnormal, but only because of the duration.  We can get snow any time of the year (I haven't seen it in August yet, but I've only been out here 5 years).

Eh, the moisture should help the wild asparagus pop up for the weekend.

Opsa

We have thunderstorms expected today and tomorrow.

Luckily my boss showed me up for yet another meeting this morning so I could go out and get all the plant babies into the ground. They'll like all the natural water. Unless they get washed away!

Aggie

We are having thundersnow, with some rain and hail mixed in at the moment.  It's so dark outside that the street lights are coming on. :P

Got a lotta rain yesterday, more expected today and this weekend. It's pretty good, since we've had a drought the past couple of years. As long as the wet/dry days are balanced.

Sibling Chatty

Temps hit the mid 90's today.

My idiot mother had her house shut up tight, and it was over 90 at 9 PM. I set her AC down to 80. I'm sure she'll bitch about getting cold, but she was draggy and slow in speech when I got there, but recovering by the time I left after 45 minutes (and 10 degrees lowering of temp).

:hot-here:  Maybe it's "nature's way" of clearing out the space for the next generation?

Naaah. That would make actual sense....  ::)  ;D

Sunny but chilly this morning.
Shift to light rain, lotsa rain early afternoon.
Abrupt shift to tiny, pea-sized sleets.
Shift back to intermittent rain.
Skies clear for sunset.

'Sbeen raining blue blazes here. School was cancelled today because of flooding. Luckily, we're on high land, but even then we have gullywash in the yard. Hope it breaks, soon.
