You have will be marooned on a desert island for a year with ample shelter, food and water, a CD player (with excellent speakers, amp etc) a fully autonomous powersupply with sufficent capacity to last the full year, but you can only take three CDs with you.  Double CDs count as one, but compilations are not allowed.

Which one's do you take?

I'll kick it off with my choices:

1. Pink Floyd - Wish Your Were Here

2. Eva Cassidy - Songbird

3. Jean Michel Jarre - Oxygene

Bob in a quantum-state-of-faith

This SO depends on my mood at the time of choosing.  ;D

My tastes in music run the gamut from modern to classic rock to soul to jazz to contemporary sounds to oldies to classical to folk to ...

Seriously, if I had time, I'd make 3 CDs of song-by-song pick-and-choose from my own collection of MP3's (ALL of which I own the album.  Some of which are still on vynal LP's! )

But, if I had to pick physical CD's today, it would be:

  • Roger Waters:  Amused to Death
  • Elias: The Prayer Cycle
  • Aimee Mann: The Ultimate Collection

Tomorrow, the list would be different!
Sometimes, the real journey can only be taken by making a mistake.

Sibling Zono (anon1mat0)

Mmm, hard one, perhaps

2. Dimitri Shostakovich - 24 Preludes & Fuges

3. I'm thorn about this, possibly

  • Ten Summoner Tales - Sting
or
  • any CD from Led Zeppelin

Sibling Lambicus the Toluous

Hmm...

1. The Pogues - If I Should Fall From Grace With God (I've been listening to it so much lately, the laser's probably burned grooves in the disc)

2. Junior Brown - 12 Shades of Brown

3. Eric Clapton - From the Cradle

Tomorrow I may have a completely different list.
