I wish I could stop thinking about chocolate dough nuts now, THANK YOU VERY MUCH BOB!

I found some weird gum, though... Extra now makes something called "Dessert Delights". I had to try the "Mint Chocolate Chip". I feel like I'm in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!

:taz: :crabbie: Doin' the victory dance for Griffin! :pinkelephant: :bouncing:

Love the victory dance Opsa. Not sure I deserve it yet. Last time I quit I lasted 5 weeks and one puff took me straight back to addiction again. Just been reading about someone who went 20 years and then had the one puff experience.......... so how long does one have stop for before it can be said to be a success?

I think sucess is there once you lose the craving. If you don't have to grab any cigarette lying around (or think you have to) that will be as far as you'll get, i.e. neutral.  But as with alcohol, one drop or puff may throw you back to start however long you abstained.
Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

A acquaintance of mine had quit smoking something like 15 years prior to meeting me.  He always carried around about 1/2 a pack of cigs, no matter where he went.  He'd occasionally give them away one or two at a time, and immediately purchase a new pack, and open it.

But he never smoked himself.

I once asked him why he always carried cigarettes.  His answer?  "In case I really want a smoke."

It was soothing to a certain part of his mind, to know he could, light up right now, if he really wanted to.  But going on 15 years later, he never felt that he really had to... maybe later.

That worked for him.  Other's have used other methods to keep their personal goals (gum was mentioned).

He used to call it "productive procrastination"...
