Me and the missus went kayaking a couple of times this weekend. We took advantage of the long weekend and the rare nice weather and we explored a lake we hadn't been on before. Among other things, we saw:

A Double-crested Cormorant


A juvenile Great Blue Heron


A couple of Painted turtles


And the coolest name for a summer camp that I've ever seen. And I've seen a few.

Yesterday I received an email from the conductor of a chorus with which I sung the Mozart Requiem a month ago. He wanted me to sing the solo tenor part for Mendelssohn's 2nd Symphony.

Now, I don't know if that is good news for the audience or some very, very bad news...

In similar news, a director that saw a DVD of me playing Anna in last summer's "The King and I" asked me to play apart in his small original musical production. And I get to play the EVIL one this time!
