Oh, Hillary's not gonna quit until forced. That she's got Ohio is unfortunate...she'll look on it as a sign.

Texas is up in the air at the moment.

Thanks for the update. I got bored with the TV saying inconclusive and switched it off.

Hillary will probably "win" Texas on popular vote.

That don't mean squat here. You gotta get your delegates through the caucus process, too.

It's gonna pretty much be a statistical dead heat until the end of the State Convention, where it'll come out o few votes ahead for Obama, most likely.

I'm VERY STRONGLY avoiding the pushing from the County Chair to take on a major county-wide office. Not until after the clinical trial, if then.

The worst case scenario is that Hillary loses the popular primary vote but wins the nomination by way of superdelegates.
Her chances against the Son of Cain are slim in any case (even without bad press treatment) but "stealing" the nomination that way could disgust enough potential voters to guarantee her loss. The "liberal" media show every warning sign that what they will do to the Dem nominee will be worse than anything seen before. Now even "rumors" are spread that Obama is gay (apart from being a radical Muslim, a Jew, an anti-semite, a commie, a fascist, a <n-word>, not black enough, a cult leader, not a US citizen, a Manchurian candidate, someone with an Un-American name, married to an America-hater, father of black children, a coke-head, a molester of children, in the pocket of the mafia, dealer in shady finances, unpatriotic, not supporting the troops, embolder of the enemy, an empty suit, a liberal, a weakling, an opponent of nuclear first strikes, an atheist, the wrong type of Christian, soft on <enter whatever topic>....*)

*Iirc some even claim that he is actually a Hindu

Edit: I just found claims that he is financed by Hugo Chavez and endorsed by the Ku Klux Klan

I bet he was also the pilot that flew into the Pentagon and the Twin Towers on 9/11

Swato you are so correct--- the hate against this man (in places) is something that can be cut with a knife and it is overwhelmingly non-rational.

Huskter seems to have gotten the message--- but I suppose that gramps McCain could go all wiggy and decide he'd be a good VP....... prolly not though--- the big rumbling is that he will need to choose a VP that is at least as electable as himself and younger.

My daughter (age 17) attends a public school smack in the center of AR in a town that is about as redneck KKK as one can get (how in the world did we wind up here--- oh yeah nother long story) and the students talk openly and freely about how Senator/President Obama will be assasinated--- usually prefaced by, that n-word gonna get it in the a** and the head we ain't havin no n-word for our president, he ain't even a christian.   Yes this is the United States and the year is 2008--- I do not hold out much hope for the future of the human race if too many of these kids survive to inherit it and procreate.

Ok the name of the town is Bryant, Arkansas-- google it and stay away- you are missing nothing except a bunch of auntie-mommies and uncle-daddies and their kids.... You can dress up a pig and put it in a hummer but it's still a pig. (and actually I'd rather be with actual pigs than many of these people-- pigs are pretty cool even-- it's just an old saying)

I know the type you are describing. They are everywhere.
*shudders*

They are the products of insular religion, insular genetics, insular politics, and pride in *not* being educated. Every time I hear neo-cons and arch-libertarians urge the total destruction of the public school system (which has surely been undermined and is in sore need of restoration) and insist that every state (and burgh within that state) set its own for-profit educational system, rules and standards, I think of these people and despair. The invisible hand of an unfettered market is no match for the lowest common denominator.

I do so get weary of the "for profit" mantra-- as if that is some sort of Commandment From On High or something.

Not EVERYTHING ought to be "for profit"..... !

...personally, I think it is plain EVIL that medicine [in this country] is for profit-- for what IS the profit made from?  People's misery, that's what!

*bleah*

And, no, I'm not an advocate for communism, either (sorry Goat :) ).  Sometimes the "for profit" motive is a good one to streamline the process, and trim off the waste.

But, as I see it, HMO is combining the worst of the "for profit" side and the worst of the non-profit side into something that is neither streamlined, nor positive benefit to those who suffer under it's auspices.

But that is another topic....

I sometimes wonder about some of the uber-redneck-types:  If they get a divorce, will their kids still be aunts and uncles to each other? ::)
Sometimes, the real journey can only be taken by making a mistake.

my webpage-- alas, Cox deleted it--dead link... oh well ::)

uber-rednecks aren't just in the south--- i've met them in every state in the USA (and I've been to all 50 states) they stick out- can't miss 'em(which is sort of good they can't hide easily) and hate tends to die when exposed to light and air.....

I agree- medicine for profit--- WTF? yes the doctor (etc) has gotta eat, live, pay bills--- but the drug companies are the real evil---- (and I'm not talking man with pitchfork evil- i'm talking the real kind that is inhumanity to humanity) ah the lofty ideal of true alturism
