What am I going to do?

I signed up for a tournament in August. When I was unemployed and had free time galore. I have to go in order to get a decent grade.
I totally forgot about it until Tuesday. I leave tomorrow at four pm. It is 9:30pm Wednesday night.
I have my Friday shift covered, but not the eight hour Saturday shift I have.
I have been to three other stores in the area, looking for partners to cover my shift. And no one can--they all have work or are out of town or are helping someone move or whatever.
It's my own fault--I didn't write it down, and I forgot. But this is really stressing me out. I may be able to shuffle one person around and another in her place, but I'm not sure. And that worries me.

Nightmare.

Wake up and find it was just a dream?

I hate it when this sort of thing happens.

I hope the shuffling works out.

Could you try talking to your manager?  If he or she is the sympathetic sort (though I know I've had managers who weren't, so I can understand if you can't), your manager might be able to re-jig things in ways you can't, make the decision to just leave your shift as a hole in the schedule (if that would work), or work your shift himself/herself.

I agree- talk to your manager, might do some good, might not but at least she/he will be aware of the situation.

I've done this myself and know how you feel.
Take care.

I have and I will call her again today. I reeeeeally don't want to be fixing this from LA. This is not good.

It's probably going to be ok-- BTW did since you are in the vicinity have you seen the big guy?
Oh I say probably because with the big guy in town things could go south really quickly- if you see hordes of people running, looking over their shoulders and screaming it's probably because he didn't like his limo.

Like Godzilla getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Hang in there-- I'm(we are) thinking about you.

Who's the big guy? My boss?

Thank you.
