Thank you all.   

V ordered a lovely 2-layer chocolate cake with chocolate frosting (my favorite) and put 50 'sparkler' candles on it. It took *all* of us to get candles lit, as we made the obligatory jokes about setting off the sprinkler system. Candles (not much more than wax-dipped wicks) did 'spark' and continually re-lit themselves -- and the smoke of trying to repeatedly blow them out actually set off our (piercing) smoke detectors! H found this hilariously funny.

Much cake is left over -- everyone please take a petite slab...
