Apparently listening to others communications by the government is OK now...

Ah well, at least they're not pretending not to.

Or claiming that some ridiculous loophole gives them the power.
There's something to be said for straightforwardness, hm?

Is this enshrined in International Law as presumably this applies to anything passing through Sweden and none of us have control over the routing of our traffic?

Yup, we got us our own epsilon program now...

Frankly I don't know if I'm going to cry, be angry, be depressed or what. I'm actually stunned. I can't believe our government has the stomach to pass a law like this which actually breaches our fundamental laws on several points.

Among them the law of protection of sources (a journalist's source is protected by law here, he or she have the right to remain anonymous no matter what, the police or other authorities have no right to do research about who left what information to the media), and then there are the integrity of the privacy (it is forbidden in law to read somebody else's mail, for example as a mail man you can get fired if you read the postcards you are supposed to deliver!) There are more but there where the ones on top of my head.

I guess in a day or two I will go. :axe: but right now I'm still in a bit of denial or chock or perhaps both.

Wow--- I am stunned
Sweden, I could almost believe anywhere except Sweden.
I've always envisioned a government who knows that the bosses are the people. (of course silly me once believed this about my own home-the USA-as well)

I am so terribly sorry Darlica and Lindorm that you are having this placed upon you--- it is not pleasant---
I agree; sadness, anger,tears, depression.

I love you dearest sibling Toadfish
