It's hardly a first. Nanny state. Grrrrrrr.

I have some meds which are critical and I curse "them" for limiting my supply. Means I live in constant fear of running out because I often can't get out and even have problems somethimes doing simple things like remembering to order them. And no, I don't have troulbe remembering to take the right amount.

Roll on some big "star" checking out due to their supply of critical "prescrption" meds running out. <end rant>

Back when I was about 12 or 13, I read an editorial in Analog by John W. Campbell.  He proposed "Freedom of Medicine".  No prescriptions.  No drug laws.  Let anyone take anything they wanted in any amount they wanted.  His theory was this would get rid of stupid people...evolution in action (though I don't think that term had been invented yet).

Back home, although prescription drugs supposedly 'require' a prescription, in practice only certain groups of drugs actually are enforced (those that had been linked to higher addictiveness). It is a(n unintended) compromised that to a degree works if you have a friend physician who tells you what to use over phone, or allows you to self medicate if you are courageous/stupid enough.

In reality on those issues there is no happy center, there will always be someone trying to get a fix from whatever (s)he can get, and someone smarter than the physicians that knows what works best rather than let the 'doctor' tell him what the big pharma rep wants him to say.

Lol, there's all sorts of prescription drugs that can be had at the flea markets around here. Not sure how they get them, but they do.



My friend found this on her car recently. I'm not entirely surprised. I'm somehow expecting more of this, now that Obama's in the lead. That's going to set the KKK off, if nothing else.

It seems to be calm around here right now but a few years ago one could get a message a month on your car or in your mailbox...

This is the first time I've seen this here. I know that we have a really high concentration of KKK members around here, and a few summers ago, there was a couple of rallies up in the hills, but I've never seen the flyers posted around.

This stuff is pretty sickening.

Now, if they would only closely examine their own genetic makeup.... and that of so-called "white america" I think they'd find the numbers lower that that--- noone is "pure".  Not a single person like that exists, anywhere.

These people are truly disgusting.

L.Neil Smith wrote a series of books (from whence I ferment much of my Libertarian ideas).  One in particular, was called "Bright Suit McBear".

The long-and-short of it was, that a planet was colonized with only the "select ayrian best". Our story takes place several hundred years later.  The types who had colonized the planet had failed to remember One Important Thing:  they had failed to bring along a Scape Goat.

But, their government-of-choice type, demanded one such, in order to function.  So, they had to cast about in desperation.  As our story unfolds, the protagonist discovers (to his disgust) that they decided that the scapegoat would be 'left-handed baldies'.   

So it is with any extreme form of culture, be it the KKK, the Westburo Bab'tist 'Church' or other based-on-hate form of social organization.  They require someone to belittle, to stand on, to try to uplift themselves.

I'm only happy that these nutters are not that many, in numbers.  It allows me to keep my Faith in Humankind alive.

Another loathsome version was/is used by German neonazis: Native Americans did nothing to stop illegal immigration, now they live on reservations.
Probably too subtle for their standard audience because they forgot to add something like "now WE are the Indians" or "let that be a warning to us Aryans" etc.

TRUE! or certain towns--- like Bryant AR try and reserve the town for the caucasians.

Should be in Snark but I really have been itching to ask...    what the f&^$ is so great about being 'white'*?  Supreme my ass....  every cultural background has good points and bad points, and most of 'em have better food.


I've heard that we are getting some vocal white supremacist groups in Calgary (to the point of openly protesting in public).

Personally, I don't see much in the way of upsides of being any one thing, since the whole thing is a genetic lottery. Not one of us did anything special to be what we are.

Some religions think that a child made a conscious choice of parents. Others believe that an aborted child is simply sent back to the waiting room until a new chance opens (preferably with the same woman when the timing is more convenient for her).

Btw, both Causcasian and Aryan are stupid terms for "nordic whites". True Aryans look like antisemitic caricatures of Jews or Arabs (nose and all). Real Caucasians (i.e. people living in the Caucasus region for millenia) would also not pass the "not brown" test.

I think the matter of so called 'race' is one where we can all benefit from a basic anthropology course. If one takes the term race and replaces it with species then it is plain (IMO) how unecessary and misunderstood the concept is (by the masses not necessarily by toadfish). We are a species (to with we can interbreed and produce fertile offspring-- that's a very basic but useful definition of species).

white supremacy has never made sense to me-- certainly nothing special about me or
my ancestors-- in fact I was very bitter and very anti-white as a teenager, I really hated myself (for many reasons) but being white was one- I was militant almost and took off as a teen to 'shack up on the res' with this adorable but quite immature young man and vowed to not be a breeder for the 'white race'-- then I grew up and took a few anthropology classes and learned a few things-- I think....
