Yeh, well we don't here. Medical records are, or until I found this out, totally only ever available to your GP surgery, or hospital for hospital records,ie. really confidential. There is a really big fuss going on about the plan to upload them to a central database so any medical person can access them, which inlcudes anonymised records being made available to whoever wants them because people know that they can't be utterly anonymised. So suddenly having this bit of legislation makes a complete nonsense of these discussions. I mean landlords ffs. Why should my landlord know my medical details; it is likely to lead to all sorts of discrimination, like eg people with mental health records being refused for renting. Disgusting. Sorry,, Rant,, but rantworthy.
