In a ritually-recited rosary, the first half of each prayer is intoned by one person, with the rest chiming in on the second half. Five people in my family, five rosary decades, so we each got one to lead during nightly advental and lenten recitations. I have fond memories of my toddler brother praying in a single breath, each syllable going up a note, until 'Jesus' was just a forced-out squeak.
