I could never finish Jung's book, and never got arounf to Frued, so I cannot speak on that.

I could say that's what older sisters are for, but I never beat on my sibs. Physically anyway. They always took it too far the few times I tried, and it became a brawl.

Jung defined individuation - (relating to unconscious, rather than conscious ego. Jung has been used for inspiring many later theories - mostly nothing to do with his original work. And plenty that misuses it too. If one looks at Jung soley in terms of his own actual work, and his work relative to his time, a lot of misappropriation would not be misunderstood. Context is all. Give the guy a break.
