Both clerical and secular authorities did not think about female-on-female most of the time. Even in the 20th century many laws dealt only with male-on-male. The former was not seen as a real danger (and the Bible does not talk about it at all) because a lesbian could still get impregnated (against her will if necessary) and so serve her purpose. A male was both committing a crime threatened with death in the Bible and failed to produce offspring (the only justifiucation for sex) when going after other males.

Apart from that, just read what some female saints and/or mystics wrote without getting stopped from above. It's pure prawn but disguised as spirituality.
