Btw, the word was
I M P E D A N C E
or electrical resistance in alternating current circuits
measured in Ohm (named after Georg Simon Ohm), abbeviated as Greek capital letter Omega
The Kirchhoff (German for churchyard) laws are used to describe the 'juice' distribution in such circuits but complex instead of real functions have to be used. Elecrtrical currents meeting resistance create heat.
The Ohm number is a standard parameter for loudspeakers.
Well, and it's Dr.Teeth and the electric mayhem

Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

Aggie

The new word has been sent to Griffin.  She'll be giving clues; I've pre-stocked her with three and will add more here (or send them on to her) as required.

Last the word is rather specific, and pacific Post

As usual, a letter and/or syllable count would be nice.

Is it/has it
a) a tranquillizer or other downer drug?
b) a historic firearm?
c) something to do with a large ocean?
d) something railroady (US or Russian)?
e) something to silence human offspring still within the warranty period?

Aggie

None of the above ( c is closest, and what I was hinting at...  it's another 'c' allied with the ocean that holds the LPWB).

7 letters, not actually sure on syllable count (Tom Waits mentions it in a song, but even there it's tough to make out whether it's 3 or 4 syllables due to compound vowels near the middle of the word).

Something you might find on Viejo MacDonald's fish farm.

^That was a clue, BTW.

Feel free to ask questions about the LPWB, if you need hints or clarification.  Note that there was some discussion of whether it counted as a proper noun, but I don't think it is (the type of noun/nature of the word has been hinted at already).

I suspect  some kind of sea creature with a name that contains the Spanish word for cow/pig/chick/sheep/mule/dog.

Would be nice but we need to haste. This does not have to be over within 24 hours.

It's certainly fishy, but the Spanish clue is more about geography than spelling (it's also a double clue, by the way, and a very specific one).

The dog's name isn't Spanish, although it's possibly Italian in origin (one might think it's Japanese, due to association with an industry-leading export).  The actual dog that's usually associated with the the name did not go by this name, but rather was named after an absorptive cotton fabric.

Last and now for something completely misleading - the following is for amusement only and not a clue whatsoever: Post

Old Macdonald had a dog, and Eieio was his name-o
E! I! E! I! O!
E! I! E! I! O!
E! I! E! I! O!
..and Eieio was his name-o
