Never been good at chemistry.

So I'll just take the Last Post and move along...

Last let's combine it all Post

crystal? Crystaline?

C is diamond

H and He are very light?

Hermann grid...

That doesn't seem to be the LPWB...

Could the answer be Herman the giant rabbit?

QuoteHowever, since they are so similar, the two names are commonly switched around.

Kiyo, you're so close!

Twinkle, twinkle, little star....
Someone must have the brilliance and fire to solve this now!

luminescence?

oh this is tricky. Working on the periodic table 'paths' diamond is C and has measure of luminescence, h and He are LIGHTer than air, the noble gasses are used to create various lamps....

I have no idea and my brain is hurting

Ok, the paths are a bit misleading unless considered with the more recent clues.  It's all tied into light, but the paths are a little divergent in what's happening to it.

-C you've got nailed, but look at it from different angles.

-Try a reaction and where it happens for the second one: H -> He , and don't look for the closest answer.

-For the noble gases, you'll need a light-producing application* besides bar signs; note that organic liquids, inorganic solids, and coal are also used in this application.

*which isn't primarily used for producing light ;)

Oh, and check the application of (sic) re: sin

And I thought I was somehow very close to the solution, now I feel so far away again.

I'll just go get some sleep...

As an adjective, the 'ing' form LPW can be applied to a conversation...  though not this one.  ::)

Nevermind...

I'll just watch the others try to solve it and be dissappointed of my stupidity later.

Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

Bluenose

Hmmm.

I'm thinking of words like
illumination (too many syllables)
diffraction (not enough syllables)
coherent (as in laser light, but not enough syllables either)
radiation (doesn't seem to fit with some of the clues)
excitation
reflection

I admit it, I have no idea.
