Ice pellets?  Just leave your drink outside when it's falling. ;)
Wish I'd thought of that! Oh well, I'll have another chance tomorrow morning.

Raining quite heavily at Casa del Blue.  Not sure how much of this is falling on the fire grounds, and the reports I have heard suggest that they need about 60 mm (about 2½ inches) to put them out.  Still, if any of this is going there, it surely cannot be a bad thing.  So far this has been the February with the most number of days on record over 30°C in Melbourne - 17 so far.  It has not so much been the heat in the middle of the day that has been the issue, but the high temperature overnight that really makes it uncomfortable.  The house just cannot cool down properly.  Oh well, making the most of a day or two of slightly cooler temperatures before it heats up again next week.

Yeay, Blue! I'm sure it's some relief, anyway.

Here it is damp and cold. Thank goodness for hot tea.

Today in NI there were unconfirmed rumours of something called "blue sky". Concerned natives stayed indoors, just in case.

Here too, we are getting reports from startled people seeing a bright golden disc in the sky. What does it mean? What does it mean?!

We also saw the mysterious golden disc for several minutes this afternoon.

Praise our Noodly Master, it hasn't rained or snowed significantly for nearly two weeks now.  However, when I go down into our next village on the West, Burghill, the road is still flowing like a stream with the water which is draining off the fields!

Edit: Burghill is west - why did I say east?

Something glowing here too but I think it will pass soon

The glowing thing was here this morning, but has now been concealed.

Heard some spring peepers last night, but they'll be refrozen tonight.

Swatopluk

It passed within minutes of me posting.
The birds stayed.

But have the swallows gone back to Capistrano?

Cloudy. Stray flurries. But a couple of daffodils are trying to open.

Bitterly cold here. Temperature not that low, but chill factor large. I only know as forced out of my nest for a blood test. (my liver may have problems).
