Did anyone see the Pixar film Wall E?  The humans in the film were exactly like Griffin describes.

I think we will evolve into a new species but we will be virtual beings, not flesh and blood at all.

Well we as a species are doing our very best to make this one happen as soon as possible-- and isn't it sad when excitement occurs over $3.50 gasoline-- there were lines waiting to get it-- lines. If we were more like Bonobos things would be better.

Yes I suppose so, but I was thinking about a TV programme I once watched about Time Travel.   One way in which time travel would be technically possible would be if computers became so powerful that they could create the sort of virtual reality that was imagined in 'The Matrix'.  You could enter this virtual reality and you could meet up with long dead relatives, for example, who had been programmed into the system.
