Everyone has heard of Knut the polar bear in the Berlin Zoo.
But right next to his enclosure there lived Kragenbärin 'Mäuschen' ((female) Asiatic black bear 'Little Mouse') with her friend of 10 years, the cat Muschi ('Pussy').
Now the old lady was put to rest and has left the mortal plane at the ripe age of 43 (she was the oldest bear in the whole zoo).

Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

Don't know but it is quite old itself. Wild cats rarely live longer than 4 years, pet cats 12-15 (although reports speak of some reaching 20-25).
This one is definitely >10 years of age. So I would not be surprised, if (s)he follows his/her friend sooner rather than later.
