I think perhaps there was a sense of tradition in the choice of location for Israel. Sort of ending the despora after almost 2000 years. "Rome chased them out, we chased them around, and then the neighbors started killing them...maybe we should send them back?"

I'd like to see the UN annex the whole of Jerusalem, make Israel use Tel Aviv, and make Palestine use someplace else.

Wouldn't be easier to convince the Russians to surrender Kaliningrad, leave the Palestinians alone, and move the Kurds to Cyprus?

I don't support the temple mount idea only for archaeological reasons, perhaps a careful disassembly and move to Kaliningrad?

If anything is left of the temple mount, there will be a cult around it (and a radical relocation movement).
It would actually be better to sink the whole holy land, not just the temple mount but that seems unfeasible.
I agree in principle about the archaeology (and Rummy should be crucified for the effect he had on Mesopotamian aracheology alone) but neither side allows it anyway and any findings would likely be abused as justification or politics. Better to make tabula rasa there without looking first. But if this plan were followed through it would have to be total. Just raizing the buildings (of the opposition) is what radicals of both sides want anyway. So the mere possibility of rebuilding should be removed (a floating new temple is mentioned nowhere in scripture to my knowledge and hovering, which might be, is beyond our current technology).

Honestly, I'm fairrrly ignorant of the wider picture, I have a general idea from college history but not too much else.

But currently, I'm just 100% fed up with israel, it just keeps on Bullying poor old palestine until there is nothing left, I'm sick to death of the prejudice against them. People cry out for the past prejeduice against the jews, but what about the current ones against the muslim people these days? It's just as bad (except 6 million haven't been killed in a couple of years...yet).

I'm sick to death of Israel. An old teacher of mine used to live in Israel, and she recounted to us one day when the bomb sirens went off, so they all went into the shelters like usual, except this time she couldn't get to one in time, and what she saw was not a bomb threat falling in the area, it was Israeli fighter jets on a bombing raid. They sounded the siren to make sure the majority of the population didn't see the israeli airforce bombing the shit out of civilians. It's disgraceful.
