I say they should start by revoking the declaration of independence and letting some people with experience have a go at sorting the mess that is the United States out.

That should take the first hour or so and then they can have the next 99 days and 23 hours off for good behaviour.

PS. All this talk of a a woman as next US president! I had no idea John Mcain was a woman. do his party know?

According to some, he changes his mind like a woman... ::)

Not me, of course.  ;D

In any case, I'm voting against whomever the Republicans are putting forward, because of the last 8 years.

Don't care who that is, don't care who the dems put forth.

I once said that Jesus Christ himself could come down to earth, and run as the Republican candidate, and Satan could come up and run as the Democratic candidate and I would still vote against the Republicans.

Because of the last 8 years.

I literally do not care who the Dems field, nor do I care who the Repubs field-- they DO NOT get my vote.

Because of Bush.

They need to learn a lesson.

It really is that simple, and it has made things ever so much more pleasant: I don't even need to pay attention to ANY of the so-called "debates" or anything.  I get to change the channel when a political ad comes on.

Vote against, I say.  Keep it simple.  :D

It would shock the hell out of the country, but an incoming president could move immediately and with impunity against any and all of the current regime, and send the worst of the lot to the Hague. And *cough*he*cough* could point to all of the Bush administrations weird legal wranglings as precedence and justification.

Afterwards, he could make a big, showy, prime-time "signing statement" that the Executive Branch -- and all its minions -- will, along with the elected and appointed officeholders in the other two branches, uphold the Constitution in accordance with theirs oath and their obligation as trustees for the future of the country. A second "signing statement" would completely repudiate and revoke all the bogus atrocities "signed" by 42.

But I hallucinate.

Sibling Chatty

There are a LOT of us that would heartily approve of this. I'm envisioning Bush pardoning everybody in his administration for any and every thing they've done or thought about, and resigning so that Cheney can do the same for him.

I think a little 'extraordinary rendition' to the Hague would be a GREAT idea. (Can we waterboard 'em first?)
This sig area under construction.

Actually a general pardoning by Bush would make the things easier with the Hague. The court can only take cases not persecuted/persecutable in the home country. The mere fact of self-immunization would comply with that condition.
New President to Bush accomplice: Do you have a pardon for what you have done?
Bush accomplice: Oh yes,  :bwa:
New President: Sent me a postcard from your cell in Europe, will you
Bush accomplice: You can't do that! :fit:
New president: Oh, you don't like Europe? Then here is your one-way ticket to country X. Don't be afraid, we got an oral promise that they will not torture you. The same agreement we have with Egypt, Syria and Jordan. :mua:

Intentional or unintentional joke?

'Cause you know, they're already suffering terrible persecution from godless, Christmas-hating lieberuls...

I am always a but unsure whether to use per- or prosecution. Dictionaries give a large intersection/overlap between both.
They should be persecuted round the world, then prosecuted in a court of law (and then* executed)

*the law properly
