That anyone would think of children as a 'control group' for any sort of 'god belief' theories is insane.

Children are, belief-wise, a bundle of their introjected values. They have not the cognitive skills yet to even begin to understand a 'theos' that is not of their parental description.

You've got to get some individual thinking and consideration going before there's anything akin to a 'spiritual' thought process. that whole concept made me wanna go slap somebody upside the head, but then I'm in one of those "Use your head for something besides growing hair" moods...
