"Surviving Midsomer". How to live in the Midsomer counties without getting poisoned, blown up, drowned, burnt, shot, hanged or summarily dispatched with a pitch-fork. So far I've learnt to avoid the village fetes.

But this week they had run out of villagers so the police turned out to be the baddies. Or was that last week? One week in Midsomer looks much like another.

This one is the only virtuous detective resident of the incest, vice, blackmail and murder prone (and that's just Sundays) Midsomer County region of southern England.  In theory his wife and daughter are depressingly virtuous too, though they do seem to have a suspicious habit of being there when the body is discovered. I've long suspected Cully of being the Moriarty figure pulling the strings behind the whole operation.
