Cat TV!  Literal Cat TV!  LOL!

My cats favorite "channel" is the back window.

Most days, the show is "birds, flying around the yard"

Some days, there's the exciting, "strange cat wandering across the yard".  They've been known to be quite vocal about that particular episode.

As for me, The Mummy is on for background noise.

'sides, I really enjoy Rachel Weisz..... ::)

Just got most of this week's TV watching done in one go.

A BBC4 documentary on the Tudor music of Thomas Tallis and William Byrd, followed by some seriously melodramatic over-acting in a Torchwood sibling-rivalry special,  topped-off with a recorded Desperate Housewives episode based on a recipe stealing plot which makes me suspect one of the writers is familiar with the "Lobster a la Riseholme" saga from E.F. Benson's Mapp and Lucia novels.

Strange thing about Desperate Housewives, the minor characters only ever seem to be seen when they have lines to deliver that week.

Only Dr Who and maybe a Midsomer Murders DVD left to do and I'll be done till next weekend...

What's befuddling about impeccable taste?

(OK aspects of it are a bit peccable, but it's all right to watch trash TV as long as you make it clear you're doing it in a post modern ironic way).

I just don't like Tallis ;)   (I'm more of a Dallas girl)

Smart cookie Tallis, according to the prog. Not only could he hold a tune (*40) but also had the ethical flexibility to adjust his religious views as necessary to avoid the common head-losing scenario of those whose interpretation of the Gospels differed from the monarch.

Want to learn the value of PI (the mathametical thingy) out to many digits?

Want to hear it sung in harmony?

What to see a very odd, but factual video?

Watch it at least once.... it's pretty amazing.

PI in harmony, no less....  (warning! occasional "sh**" in the lyrics)

Bob, you find the most unusual things!

The robot harmonic part made me think of Catholic school girls' choir class. Now *that* would have been a fun number to slip into one of the recitals!

Futurama - Bender's Big Score
If Futurama is to your taste, you should watch it.
But be forewarned: there are nudist aliens in it.
Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

Got around to seeing it.

I agree-- watch it, if you can.  Good.

Has time travel in it.

Has obscure references to some of the best-loved episodes all through it.  Any number of "inside jokes" to Futurama fans.

A nice dig at Fox Executives, too.   Several.  In fact, it's a running gag.... :)

And some really nerdy ones. Take the numbers of the taxi cabs for example.
Just waiting for the next installment (announced for June in the UK, no date for Germany* yet).

*I never listen to the German language soundtrack though.

Trying to find time for Atonement.
Not mine; definitely haven't got that much time, but the DVD what I bought.  Also wondering why all the films I watch these days have one-word titles. Is it an industry conspiracy or proof my attention span has plummetted?

There is a Jeanne d'Arc retrospective at a museum cinema currently.
I will not watch all of them though.
Already seen:
Joan the Woman (Cecil B DeMille, 1917) (the actress must be the twin sister of Leni Riefenstahl, the likeness is simply stunning)
La (le?) Passion de Jeanne d'arc (Carl Theodor Dreyer 1928) (a masterpiece, nothing less)

One thing all versions I know get wrong is that everyone (military) runs around in (usually full) armor all the time.

Dexter again, I just can't give him up. I'm going to have withdrawal agony when the series ends. That could prove very nasty........
