GOP Official: Gay Pirates Are Invading Tampa!
Eugene Delgaudio, a Republican official in Virginia's Loudon County, best known for claiming that gay TSA agents were getting their jollies patting down male passengers' junk, is sending out a letter to his constituents claiming that radical homosexual pirates have invaded Tampa Bay, Florida, and are roaming the streets.

From TSA? Nowadays you can't hide anything from them. Have you heard of full body scanners?
In contrast now even the CPAC nutters have in their midst a fellow that desires to become a pirate in the old-fashioned sense:

Silly man... that's privateering.
I wish I was in Sherbrooke now!
I thought it was Edinborough in that old song.
Privateering is public (service) piracy. Shouldn't that make conservative heads explode?
Not that old, and not Scottish - you've just been brainwashed by the Corries:
QuoteIn one of their recorded performances of the song, famed Scottish folk singers the Corries state during a preamble that the song is in fact from the 18th century. However they also claim that it is the story of a Scottish exile, even though no such references appear in the lyrics, and that the Antelope's captain was "Cid Barrett" not the correct "Elcid".

Here's the real deal:

I did not know that El Cid did pirateering on the side ;)
Since the last update on my office computer video files and references to them have disappeared from website displays and I can't update the flash player without the admin password. I don't want to be the one reminding the sysadmins or there may be awkward questions why I need it during office hours, if you know what I mean.
Thanks for the YouTube shanty, Aggie. Wonderful thing to listen to.
Makes me want to go out east. Very cheap land in Nova Scotia, there is... just a bit far from home.
Canadian Physical Monastery version 2, perhaps. ;)
