Oops! I forgot! But now I've changed into a saffron gauze hippie top, that would be pretty monklike if it weren't for the magenta embroidery. It's quite gaudy, really, but if anyone asks, I'll tell them what it's about.

The burmesian (?) freedom radio, and a lot of the exile democracy movement is situated in Norway. I will try to contact them and ask them if they have a symbol or a colour that can be turned in to a symbol to spread the awareness about the situation in Burma like the Pink Ribbbon is worn as a symbol lfor the fight againts breast cancer.

I'm not at home at the monent so it can take a couple of days but I'll get to as soon as I can.

Go for it!

I will hunt down some red stuff, since I don't own saffron (sadly).

I predict this will get worse--there's only been one fatality as of this morning.

I wish it were practical to protest China. They're blocking a censure on Myanmar in the UN.

via NPR (National Public Radio) there are no monks on the streets now--- have they been assasinated or rounded up?

From what I heard on last night's news, hundreds of monks were rounded up and are being held and some monasteries were trashed.

I found a blog that I think is based in Thailand, but the guy's in contact with people inside. It's a little bit of a chore to read his stuff, since he hasn't got the best English, but I think it's a pretty good one.

I tried to contact the democracy movement but they seems to be flooded right now and asked me to go to this site http://www.freeburma.org/.

I shall watch them march from the comfort of bed.

I am slightly intrigued by the

Quote. March towards Downing Street
. March towards Trafalgar Square and be given speech by MPs and peace-loving leaders

I have a vision of thousands, marching on the spot, facing in the direction of......

But I guess it really means they'll turn off when the police block them from Downing Street

I loved the comments on that page. If I was to do it, I'd go find the most gigantic grandma knickers possible and douse them with catsup.

Scriblerus the Philosophe

Oooh, Op! Yeesh!

Can't forget to add a little bit of Hersey's Choclate to that katchup before you douse 'em. Looks more real apparently.

I have a source here.

And some of Laurel's pre-stomach reduction granny panties.
