Loved the Procol Harum, especially the hooded organist and the stylish Mylar on the back of the little (unheard) spinet and the organ.

Love that Hammond B-200 organ sound. Not a DAMN thing like a pipe organ, but very distinctive.

Lucky that clip still existed. The BBC used to record over most stuff in those days as tape was expensive.

If you get a chance have a look at the McKellen "updated" Richard III.  Tyrell (sometimes Tyrrell) was the conscience-less henchman who organised Clarence's evening drink and the two princes' bed time story, at least according to the version approved by the winners of the Wars of the Roses.

With Boris Karloff in the cast I was really wondering if it was still a historical film or whether it had had a few werewolves and vampires added to liven it up.
Looks fairly historical, apart from the pre-Raleigh ciggy.

Well, it's not as close to real history as the bard but (on the other hand) nothing supernatural is happening. Rathbone challenges Price to a duel, the latter chooses Malmsey and good ol' Basil swears that the only weapon will be Malmsey (and stays true to his word ). Except for that scene it is almost impossible to recognize Price btw.
I read that a lot of the armor and weaponry was made from cardboard which caused a bit of difficulty in the battle scenes (the first in pouring rain, the second in thick mist).
The nominal hero seems to try to imitate Errol Flynn but is only successful in the looks (the supporting cast is at best average).
I found the movie entertaining but it is not a must-see.
The remake with Price as Richard III. is said to be a disaster (cheap even for Corman, who committed the crime).

Going to go finish my recording of the Cartoon Network's The Venture Brothers.

First season was a blatant rip-off of the old Johnny Quest series.  Now, they blatantly rip-off other comic genera, too.   On a scale of 1 to 5, it's 2.5 amusing.
