y'know, the "To Be or Not To Be" question stopped making sense after I watched hamlet all the way through, with mel gibson no less.

Hamlet is completely effing mental. WHY should we even consider what he babbles about?

I mean, how thoughtful and philosphical is the question "do I kill myself or not?". apparently very, when dressed up with shakespeare.

The question generally makes more sense as you get older and there's less partying and more struggling. Are we too engrossed in the minutiae of everyday life to notice that actually there is no point at all to existence, and we're struggling on against adversity for nothing?

So I'd go for the question being relevant, but I'd say that Shakespeare comes down with the same answer as you. How you play the game is important, even if you can't ultimately win. Which is why I'm taking the Last Post back.

Henry V. will always be more popular with the crowds than Hamlet.
Not sure about a Henry/Hamlet ticket for president though, especially if Richard III is in the VP slot for the other side.
I guess the Dauphin would win, provided he would not look too French (he would probably kick the Constable out right after the election because of the latter's doubt about invading Russia on bicycles)
