Don't ask me where the stupid English trivial name comes from.
Soda (Na₂CO₃)is actually not caustic in the sense of chemically aggressive but also not neutral. It reacts slightly basic because of the connected equilibrium CO₃^2- + 2 H₂O <-> H₂CO₃ + 2 OH <-> CO₂ + H₂O
Caustic Soda is NaOH the salt of sodium lye

As a child, in London, trains were steam trains. We used to stand on the bridge and disappear in the cloud as the trains went underneath. They had women only carriages too.

Even if allowed I would say that getting inside one of this transport means with a dog is between impossible and animal cruelty.
