I quite often do eat it daily.  Carbon monoxide's a pretty standard flatulence gas; the H2S is the natural product of sulphur-rich foods fermenting in an oxygen-deficient environment.

There are some other good sources of healthy bacteria that you can eat, such as kimchi (I've got some VERY potent stuff in the beer fridge back in Cowtown).
