I know but especially in this version the whole riddle is stupid given how light the objects are. If one extra would sink the boat, the human being will be unable to cross the river as often as necessary (7 times) for the correct solution. At least in the original version it is a wolf (>fox) a sheep (>>goose) and a head of cabbage (I assume similar in size to the load of grapes). Btw why would the animals not run away while unguarded? And gagging them should not be that difficult either.

Ok, let's replace the fox with David Cameron, the goose with Nick Clegg, and the bunch of grapes with Nigel Farage. The boat would definitely sink, thus saving us from having to solve the puzzle as well as not having to worry about bi-elections.
