Well, the one my just ruin your skin and eyes, the other can mean a life of pain (I know people affected by it).

Sounds more like some sort of poisoning/infection/asphyxia, but who am I to tell clues apart.

I am suspecting something along the lines of asbestosis (lung problems due to inhaled rock dust or something similar), but that's just a hunch.  Haven't sat down to look at the clues properly.

He made it sound quick and asbestos related health issues are usually long term. For a quick death it would have to be a very aggressive sickness (some forms of influenza fill the lungs with liquid, for instance), poisoning (cyanide, sarin, VX, etc), or outright asphyxia (CO2, drowning, etc).

Looks like I lured all of you into the wrong direction (which I should naturally do as an announcer of arachnids ).

Let's get back a bit:
The LPWB word is an adjective that turns into a noun by adding a 'y' at the end.
The word sounds as if it was a drug to cure 'teh gay'
Conservatives hate it
If the word got misspelled it could be read as 'leader of a nation in Africa' (title not name)...in Latin
A synonym of the LPWB word could be read as announcing the presence of a certain kind of arachnids (I did not say spider)
Said archanids can lead to difficulties in solving riddles or to a life of pain (reason actually named in an earlier post).
If you are LPWB, then you traditionally would also suffer much pain (and coughing) but it would be over soon
4 syllables, 9 letters (add 1 to each for the noun)

Actually that got used for the 'harder' cases only. As far as I have read normally there was deliberate creation of smoke andf rom its behaviour observes deduced certain decision from high-up.
