I tried several times but it always looks as if the kilt was drawn up to the (nonexisting) nose. I'll probably try again without a kilt but maybe with a cuttlefish as pipes.

Myself, I couldn't draw the ace of diamonds, but I do see a technical problem here:  squids and bagpipes look practically identical.  The only way to tell 'em apart will be the tartan.

Well, the pipes will be a cuttlefish. On that tartan would even look natural.
I fear the piping squid will have to be content with just a bonnet (and maybe a sporran)

Bonnet and pipe should be doable, the kilt is harder to get right since a squid doesn't have a lower body to speak of.
